I find it most worthy to share it with my friends in Malaysia as well as abroad. May the pictures I managed to take are doing justice to the beauty of my beloved Malaysia.ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.comBlogger17125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-52917056564217631522010-05-24T04:33:00.017+08:002010-05-24T05:48:45.977+08:00Redang Island<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhihzCzi4ZToWzss3sfbGd3MRsuYglTSlXjLu9kfydfEHwwkBGyztIEA_Kw9Ta1DM5TlT7IVZ3abMlyhojVIk6XyBnNoFQLCuSsSMpBSTRcOslyWr2VMLK5LUziitlvb7wY_8tmXl5_18o/s1600/Redang1+154.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhihzCzi4ZToWzss3sfbGd3MRsuYglTSlXjLu9kfydfEHwwkBGyztIEA_Kw9Ta1DM5TlT7IVZ3abMlyhojVIk6XyBnNoFQLCuSsSMpBSTRcOslyWr2VMLK5LUziitlvb7wY_8tmXl5_18o/s400/Redang1+154.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474585679487777602" border="0" /></a><br /><br />This beautiful island is just off the coast of Trengganu. We spent the three days there literally on the beach itself, basking under the sun as well as dipping ourselves in the blue sea waters of the South China Sea! Of course the holiday was meant for the kids and they really enjoyed it. We did snorkeling too, but the bigger fish was near to the rocks and kids were not advisable to go there. I did my share and well, the fish were a few only, maybe next trip they may multiply! They said, The Lagoon Resort close by offers better deal where snorkeling is concerned.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioJ6LSo24sldCP5vO0VY5-qWEBHZEGqMTCeB5oEHWorRsgHEpKSDHQ2R__Fjp6McMQUF0eDu1NlMLxFsC7o3JJWz_qdHkAO27h32tMjOVSqk-9B4xJdO2EZbJhnPXGEOLwpZ_cNL3wR78/s1600/Redang4+024.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioJ6LSo24sldCP5vO0VY5-qWEBHZEGqMTCeB5oEHWorRsgHEpKSDHQ2R__Fjp6McMQUF0eDu1NlMLxFsC7o3JJWz_qdHkAO27h32tMjOVSqk-9B4xJdO2EZbJhnPXGEOLwpZ_cNL3wR78/s200/Redang4+024.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474575915752256146" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZd5ae468gM0XYn3nCEjMEFfas7HTdjpGYBNDwwvjauKmIhkhYLuXV8WMXcy_0yeQqTLDDMKHoiODFwQxUtNz7JtaGWUnCJxiIKVgiiVzFG4WTAyLRz2adrYhy6Y6ppMBi4HCv3zpzAQA/s1600/Redang4+015.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZd5ae468gM0XYn3nCEjMEFfas7HTdjpGYBNDwwvjauKmIhkhYLuXV8WMXcy_0yeQqTLDDMKHoiODFwQxUtNz7JtaGWUnCJxiIKVgiiVzFG4WTAyLRz2adrYhy6Y6ppMBi4HCv3zpzAQA/s200/Redang4+015.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474575613464783218" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_L8sn5_Rp82uPKPckUYHfJQova2hyTLhllRqW-WO2jvs4Ysk6_q_hhmMV0QxBJbYKDKmWN4DkGnLmQYU4UvB-Qvm0cT_ph_GSWIMokzHnpYV9UZ1DQ3Lj8yUjC00CV-M7plj8RAQ-d9Q/s1600/Redang4+011.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_L8sn5_Rp82uPKPckUYHfJQova2hyTLhllRqW-WO2jvs4Ysk6_q_hhmMV0QxBJbYKDKmWN4DkGnLmQYU4UvB-Qvm0cT_ph_GSWIMokzHnpYV9UZ1DQ3Lj8yUjC00CV-M7plj8RAQ-d9Q/s200/Redang4+011.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474575229690254050" border="0" /></a><br />Of course, the visitors that came together with me on the plane were mostly foreigners. This time around my daughter took me for a weekend holiday where we lodged at this beautiful Berjaya Beach Resort at Teluk Burau on the western tip of the island. We stayed for two nights there, and like always we just spent the days sight-seeing as well as dipping ourselves in the beautiful sea just next to our chalets.<br /><br />From KL we took the MAS flight to Langkawi and that took us about an hour or so. At Langkawi Airport we rented a Livina for our convenience to move around on the island.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-93ounu4DsW3fYA_UgXinxGsdM4ERzSqW_BSFxijlhczBvJuVxqgIrvWlWw2K5VxOF9cDOTAcOACcMGT0CaeyJq496XYwa0PmT3AdfXDCi8i0IhejDOPnz8Eaunw69P-p8GqTG4mNMJo/s1600/Langkawi2+060.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-93ounu4DsW3fYA_UgXinxGsdM4ERzSqW_BSFxijlhczBvJuVxqgIrvWlWw2K5VxOF9cDOTAcOACcMGT0CaeyJq496XYwa0PmT3AdfXDCi8i0IhejDOPnz8Eaunw69P-p8GqTG4mNMJo/s400/Langkawi2+060.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474560411905821490" border="0" /></a><br />We went around the island using the Livina and quite comfortable too for a family of six. Even after putting in petrol for RM50, there were still much more in the tank when we surrendered tha car back after 3 days. Actually we didnt see much of the usual places, places that we used to visit before, since this time we have small kids around, we just basked and lazed around by the beaches and the hotel's pool. The children love this very much.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7rQfiI6lA9s8qd2zlCdo-KGkMFYFAJAYFdxnXNDjkJW7XudU-lYGy_fX0EcBVlnmdV0gg3uxT2vMx-HGS_lg2ABnRXN9dj_r6FgnzSVKJ_gLjv28MAcWx7OqPHoP1TdklClZO19eXpYE/s1600/Langkawi1+115.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7rQfiI6lA9s8qd2zlCdo-KGkMFYFAJAYFdxnXNDjkJW7XudU-lYGy_fX0EcBVlnmdV0gg3uxT2vMx-HGS_lg2ABnRXN9dj_r6FgnzSVKJ_gLjv28MAcWx7OqPHoP1TdklClZO19eXpYE/s320/Langkawi1+115.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474563752347910786" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsNek9FhiseFEetJj2gIOzrizqySCO7vQV8jED5QTCuqqLLEkqv5N5LSZg4bKWMbbBVRzBtkFlGtjorVwlyOfxssaGSqHin9szKX9UoMLC1EzjIgda9YdGwguDZwzFSPwumJMBQi6jdf8/s1600/Langkawi1+111.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsNek9FhiseFEetJj2gIOzrizqySCO7vQV8jED5QTCuqqLLEkqv5N5LSZg4bKWMbbBVRzBtkFlGtjorVwlyOfxssaGSqHin9szKX9UoMLC1EzjIgda9YdGwguDZwzFSPwumJMBQi6jdf8/s320/Langkawi1+111.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474563386418700322" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgsl67AUEZTXMBlD2bZ_Iz0NvAtiCEbk9iueP1pCLs7rXqfyiOm1e1J0RrA1UgqaMP0yx4XgdKH_kt2gkcwQ-H4jdxUS79fQtSa0Jc9_2mF2dXdsv25h18KT5pCwHa3UMH4wtxYpi-arY/s1600/Langkawi2+043.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgsl67AUEZTXMBlD2bZ_Iz0NvAtiCEbk9iueP1pCLs7rXqfyiOm1e1J0RrA1UgqaMP0yx4XgdKH_kt2gkcwQ-H4jdxUS79fQtSa0Jc9_2mF2dXdsv25h18KT5pCwHa3UMH4wtxYpi-arY/s320/Langkawi2+043.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474565118885718626" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcOK1V1hXL4kWrcQlARbWnYm69rsjF3j1_mMy4S10pf4jj200nvGgPksb73qAEdinFXVRc2a4uiEciRbq9ep84v3BvaR6LQ_xhn6b-HI7OacRZl87i-ZhmVy-kEjNNPRD65KruXP95LYc/s1600/Langkawi2+003.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcOK1V1hXL4kWrcQlARbWnYm69rsjF3j1_mMy4S10pf4jj200nvGgPksb73qAEdinFXVRc2a4uiEciRbq9ep84v3BvaR6LQ_xhn6b-HI7OacRZl87i-ZhmVy-kEjNNPRD65KruXP95LYc/s320/Langkawi2+003.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474564730021842642" border="0" /></a>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-57321516018744863592009-06-17T20:06:00.009+08:002009-06-17T23:31:14.093+08:00Pangkor Island<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6AsRJRt2Q7PpzlNC_7XGBfawu5C7u9izBH3MOQ0qkOjV8jZ6Yp57apnZ4LwLGUn6N9lgSEt5aJr0iS64jWY0lMFpNTMAYFvcFZCQPsy3EYLhnpkKnkF3sDePc2mChXVKRfiognxs1RD8/s1600-h/Pangkor+119.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348271211543003858" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6AsRJRt2Q7PpzlNC_7XGBfawu5C7u9izBH3MOQ0qkOjV8jZ6Yp57apnZ4LwLGUn6N9lgSEt5aJr0iS64jWY0lMFpNTMAYFvcFZCQPsy3EYLhnpkKnkF3sDePc2mChXVKRfiognxs1RD8/s400/Pangkor+119.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div>Pangkor Island is in the State of Perak and about 200 km from Kuala Lumpur to its nearest town of Lumut. To reach this island, you have a take a ferry from Lumut and it takes about 30 minutes to cross the sea and reach the jetty of Pangkor. Pangkor is a holiday destination and there are ample rooms available on this island and at a very reasonable price too. Stayed at this Seaview Hotel and was very lucky to have my room just facing the sea. Therefore, bathing was the only activity that I knew off for the two days I was on this island. We were here in late 2002 and that was really a fond memory for us. The place itself was such a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beautiful rivers as well as the lush green jungles. The going uphill was so steep and had to use four-wheel drive all the way to the top. Or maybe the authorities owned the road and have to use their land-rovers only. The land-rover station was at the foot of the hill somewhere within the lake garden's area in Taiping. It cost only a few dollars per person and the journey to the top took about half an hour or so. And of course the road was a one way traffic, and therefore they have regulated the flow of traffic to enable the one way system.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJyvzvsEOrrunw_ILIjoy6Mm3gjwK0U7Tgg7utAcXVU56eA14gF6GJBXJ8zaLZ0WA63-m2DmNCMJgRh2AfOl1da5NyToiobKviTfIeliua1Hco2ZB2qc5j1chtH4kwnKgy1FsMUYjoBhI/s1600-h/maxwell+54.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339257462277650018" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJyvzvsEOrrunw_ILIjoy6Mm3gjwK0U7Tgg7utAcXVU56eA14gF6GJBXJ8zaLZ0WA63-m2DmNCMJgRh2AfOl1da5NyToiobKviTfIeliua1Hco2ZB2qc5j1chtH4kwnKgy1FsMUYjoBhI/s320/maxwell+54.jpg" /></a><br />At the top it was cooling all right and many beautiful flowering plants were found, making the place so nice and beautiful. My visit to this island was way back many many years ago and this island was then in the process of building up.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I came to this island from Labuan in Sabah by helicopter. That too was a long flight and it took us about 40 minutes to arrive. Once on the island, I was indeed amazed to see all the buildings that came up and the beauty of the island itself. The air-strip was then near completion and very soon fixed-wing aircraft can land on the island. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I was on this island with few friends and we stayed here for four days. In the lodging house we met several tourists from overseas like Japan and the USA. Most of them were writers from favourite magazines and they came to write about the island.</div><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjpwgWdc_S_R8yMGYgiBlt_Pww2hpciwrXm_jx3KlNiHcg0b2LczeoOTVivwyQq5CfLPrroQOmDYQbcplFZUucSADumxoQrPFnjYlqOHU-gQup68jKDUL2XbG80lpIU_3AsFEvoV1p07Q/s1600-h/Layang2.1.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336348186779487698" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjpwgWdc_S_R8yMGYgiBlt_Pww2hpciwrXm_jx3KlNiHcg0b2LczeoOTVivwyQq5CfLPrroQOmDYQbcplFZUucSADumxoQrPFnjYlqOHU-gQup68jKDUL2XbG80lpIU_3AsFEvoV1p07Q/s400/Layang2.1.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div>Since the island was formerly the crater of a volcanoe, the shores were therefore very short and an immediate drop to the bottom of the sea, presumably tens of thousands feet deep. The water around us was deep blue and the wind was continuosly blowing and of course very windy to us. At one corner of the island we came across several species of birds which has adopted the island as their homes. Saw them laying their eggs on the sand itself without any nest. They were so friendly and they flew around us like we were friends too. I was told about 25 species were found on that island.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Now this island is fully developed and became one of the many favourite holiday destinations in Malaysia. From just an atoll it has transformed into a beautiful island and the experience to stay in this island is just a dream comes true.</div>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-28982904235029505502009-05-13T13:28:00.003+08:002009-05-14T00:34:27.501+08:00Pulau Lankayan, Sandakan, Sabah<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHQH5llbMMcOZS8yA6qj1VPzFWtdKu3vdUeuFhceehbk0Sjl82_P6m2oZnSbGSwV-5NVxEAbOCdOFJGBNy5StHbTCMpK_yH_HWxhNtINZhh4CjR8s6mY2OK6pY3HBbAMbyht6uwdClCbU/s1600-h/P.Lankayan+4.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335178197430312162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHQH5llbMMcOZS8yA6qj1VPzFWtdKu3vdUeuFhceehbk0Sjl82_P6m2oZnSbGSwV-5NVxEAbOCdOFJGBNy5StHbTCMpK_yH_HWxhNtINZhh4CjR8s6mY2OK6pY3HBbAMbyht6uwdClCbU/s400/P.Lankayan+4.jpg" /></a><br /><div>This beautiful island is located just off-shore from Sandakan. The water was as clear as the sky and if you drop a 50cents coin from the jetty, you can see the coin went down sparklingly to the bottom of the sea, even at the depth of more than 20 feet. </div><br /><div></div><div>At the cafe we were entertained with the cafe-keeper feeding the juvenile-sharks at the shallow part of the shore. The island was very windy when we did the visit and the cool sea-breeze was indeed very refreshing. Most of the frontal part facing the jetty were very bushy with the 'mengkuang' plants. That was nice because they still maintain the original jungle even though there was a resort built there.</div><div> </div><div>The island was small and took us only a few minutes to cross to the other side. We were brought to the northern part of the island where we could see the Indonesian islands just a few kilometers away. So this beautiful island was very close to the international border.</div>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-63013163156608357622009-05-11T00:52:00.005+08:002009-05-11T01:29:32.744+08:00Mabul Island<p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimb4PWZqb8J0bIkq-2jNHOWR4jTMRefZGVaXFXlQrr1KKBAGCzPbnuGD_Gnts8hY7120Wy1ejVvxK4NNeX6afnD_oo54_cm8D4KYQFgAnipaeGza9CSajI480h4BUItBq_ImpjVinap5I/s1600-h/P.Mabul+11.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334240587140095698" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimb4PWZqb8J0bIkq-2jNHOWR4jTMRefZGVaXFXlQrr1KKBAGCzPbnuGD_Gnts8hY7120Wy1ejVvxK4NNeX6afnD_oo54_cm8D4KYQFgAnipaeGza9CSajI480h4BUItBq_ImpjVinap5I/s400/P.Mabul+11.jpg" /></a><br />I left Sipadan Island around 1400 hours and journeyed back to Tawau. I have been to this island twice and my last visit was in 2001, and hope to make another visit soon. Sipadan was quite different from the many islands that I have visited because <span style="font-family:georgia;">the</span> beauty lies underneath the island itself. To enjoy the beauty, one has to do scuba-diving or just snorkelling along the shore waters of the island.<br /><br />It is an 'oceanic island' whereby the island is supported by a tall pillar from the bottom of the ocean-bed. Around this so-called pillar, the living organisms of the sea makes their home like corals and shells. Therefore, the fishes have a rich supply of food and thus the waters around the island are full of variety of fish.<br /><br />I was having real fun with my children doing snorkelling since we were not skilled in scuba then. The multi-coloured corals were so beautiful and still intact with many colourful fishes swimming around the corals. Underwater we were able to feed the fishes too, since all of them were very friendly to us. We used crushed crackers in a plastic bag and punctured a small hole at the end. In the water the crackers became soiled and the fish enjoyed themselves with the liquid-biscuits that oozed from the small hole in the plastic. That was so lovely, with so many fishes crowding to get the feed from your hand.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH0DmlfdsBWlTJJ5jGoKvHQmyTa2B0JEHctyE4khPfHTtQSWNXm0XNG_TkwHxQWd3FG59Y_0b8B68PAP5or2J5mdX9uk4V0fzBInNru6BR4bwuGil-_e9WB-Dxclg-rmM_W1m3-C3oqKs/s1600-h/pulau-sipadan.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH0DmlfdsBWlTJJ5jGoKvHQmyTa2B0JEHctyE4khPfHTtQSWNXm0XNG_TkwHxQWd3FG59Y_0b8B68PAP5or2J5mdX9uk4V0fzBInNru6BR4bwuGil-_e9WB-Dxclg-rmM_W1m3-C3oqKs/s400/pulau-sipadan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334238415142735634" /></a><br /><br />That night we were brought to see the turtles laying their eggs. We managed to see 3 of them even though by the track-signs we saw at least 5 turtles came ashore to lay their eggs that night. The shores around Sipadan is just about 3 kilometers only and was not difficult to cover the island within an hour or so.<br /><br />During my stay, I met a few visitors of which most of them love the island so much. One particular visitor told me that was his fourth visit to the island and definitely he would come again. For the scuba-divers Sipadan is the best site to do scuba diving in the world.ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-20880951861211988892009-04-25T14:58:00.012+08:002009-04-26T16:32:25.730+08:00CAMERON HIGHLAND<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfmpkhXE6iGd9P18NAQOPYWX7470j1rQtWwzB1dYRfyMTD73uesn3rB1UhfQvjl3Kgzma1R-YYxgHk-aI5GNbxRYt06RWTDMqgsnQiNEUl2xAbcVA2BweutW4ZAdGjPfuEYVYZn7bx2E0/s1600-h/Cameron11June08+086.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328521453306269730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfmpkhXE6iGd9P18NAQOPYWX7470j1rQtWwzB1dYRfyMTD73uesn3rB1UhfQvjl3Kgzma1R-YYxgHk-aI5GNbxRYt06RWTDMqgsnQiNEUl2xAbcVA2BweutW4ZAdGjPfuEYVYZn7bx2E0/s400/Cameron11June08+086.jpg" /></a><br />Cameron Highland is just an hour drive from Ipoh, and more or less the same too from Tapah. The variety of colours from the flowering plants definitely make Cameron as a big beautiful garden. </div><br /><div></div></div><br /><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328906028924741410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIPcEE4Ih9KZe2cYvM4H0anHIyLkFfyVzfN5uDU20eustgHSDZmyMpNH5Xgyikh37MWlqyeojfAaX3SzBpTA4W70aKCiPSFdFUJ4uI2gjpzAV5aUbWNtRjMCo6n64yCO5rgTQDU7QrLAA/s200/Cameron11June08+115.jpg" /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAr9EKAbRv1Rasi5jCIeO-pFlbPv2UQ_iIzwcLhqQU5ntjyzJEiKeydGi_8hlD6XxTrfY7o5LJcSUYPnFfYpaU5lMPys5zSS4cX_0OTgyjY_rHcruu9SkW1iKSM1QTS-ua6xG3jowfRYI/s1600-h/Cameron11June08+113.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 150px; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328906941369570994" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAr9EKAbRv1Rasi5jCIeO-pFlbPv2UQ_iIzwcLhqQU5ntjyzJEiKeydGi_8hlD6XxTrfY7o5LJcSUYPnFfYpaU5lMPys5zSS4cX_0OTgyjY_rHcruu9SkW1iKSM1QTS-ua6xG3jowfRYI/s200/Cameron11June08+113.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rIREKEFfpKJ3N8sVgd767plwdVhceZc-QRauEOOuOekruB5enbs0eEkQa10lVsipxxgYvd7E5QdU2NWi8XfbslImzhwQ2PhZvJ7XrswWeOO5CkzvODkFd6OsDZqouADO2XOFX8npWAA/s1600-h/Cameron11June08+176.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 306px; HEIGHT: 131px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328907333652157618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rIREKEFfpKJ3N8sVgd767plwdVhceZc-QRauEOOuOekruB5enbs0eEkQa10lVsipxxgYvd7E5QdU2NWi8XfbslImzhwQ2PhZvJ7XrswWeOO5CkzvODkFd6OsDZqouADO2XOFX8npWAA/s200/Cameron11June08+176.jpg" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJwm0k1Xgh_KJxh7jDjY4C83R9-Y0RXpJIu7sKn3If1b6eyZIzBFlOxcv04tBoMOwRkMaQV335o4Pp1NyqIOCqOyNxssWVflM2zr8ebpacNBr-riKXOXkPoHJbN-O8re0utLRecD7rkts/s1600-h/Cameron11June08+127.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 150px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328905853267130226" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJwm0k1Xgh_KJxh7jDjY4C83R9-Y0RXpJIu7sKn3If1b6eyZIzBFlOxcv04tBoMOwRkMaQV335o4Pp1NyqIOCqOyNxssWVflM2zr8ebpacNBr-riKXOXkPoHJbN-O8re0utLRecD7rkts/s200/Cameron11June08+127.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxyWt8NgSIo94NMmBlIzcLtveJ1XczVptRSpnqf7Le1IxYAppTY7EQcMhtqpNRFp98SIVUL2rQ3B8F9qQB7fkkgz2g7R-xIEky5MwO11CENw4VhLCatLTD-fj9Lt8egzgB_Avzylta8Qs/s1600-h/Cameron11June08+196.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328907622926929506" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxyWt8NgSIo94NMmBlIzcLtveJ1XczVptRSpnqf7Le1IxYAppTY7EQcMhtqpNRFp98SIVUL2rQ3B8F9qQB7fkkgz2g7R-xIEky5MwO11CENw4VhLCatLTD-fj9Lt8egzgB_Avzylta8Qs/s200/Cameron11June08+196.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The famous Raja Brooke Butterflies, are found abundantly in the Cameron's environment. We stayed in the Sibu Island Resort for two nights and three days. During the day the Resorts arranged several activities like scuba diving, snokelling, boat-ride and canoeing. Apart from that there were several games like volleyball, sand-football, sepak-takraw and others. We chose to just have the boat-rides and visited the few islands around Sibu Island and then spent much of our time by the sea-side, bathing and basking in the sun. Normally we end up taking a dip in the resort's swimming pool.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4_xzI0l-BYdsPwNNhnyGZtz20PS3bEhxdwRuCNlcrrA7VYth_ILuonLdngM9AuetMVGrVSC6JnMOHSvy7eGXmh3hx2WxvhXRLclnvKATjtd_0rjAZNxPHFBCEVr3dGOnIE-tUGQVnEWU/s1600-h/Retake+4163_edited.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 126px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328595732185883602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4_xzI0l-BYdsPwNNhnyGZtz20PS3bEhxdwRuCNlcrrA7VYth_ILuonLdngM9AuetMVGrVSC6JnMOHSvy7eGXmh3hx2WxvhXRLclnvKATjtd_0rjAZNxPHFBCEVr3dGOnIE-tUGQVnEWU/s200/Retake+4163_edited.JPG" /></a><br />The boat-ride around the island was such a beautiful experience indeed. Apart from the beautiful sceneries, you feel very isolated and lonely as the mainland was nowhere to be seen. Then, as we passed this small island just close to the main island, we saw many white wild pigeons perching on the trees. I believe it must be the dove. That was he first time I ever sighted these birds even though I know they were around through my readings. Definitely that was not the last visit, and I am sure I am going to visit that island again soon.</div></div>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-53984706962511128242009-03-26T20:11:00.007+08:002009-05-24T14:07:59.005+08:00Fraser's Hill (revisited)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuxrPbmSRqZawSWgndftxsfN11ev3MeGK5xsWsHfxWeYyqcarzFmjrGJDLBgZO5CsI7Lu-azttfNNPXOp-yw-bD-DLHe3FbLlUOgxW051igsyM4om_nEWb_xBcKw_9kmHpFz0fIL8k_Bo/s1600-h/Fraser1+162.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317470034595513170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuxrPbmSRqZawSWgndftxsfN11ev3MeGK5xsWsHfxWeYyqcarzFmjrGJDLBgZO5CsI7Lu-azttfNNPXOp-yw-bD-DLHe3FbLlUOgxW051igsyM4om_nEWb_xBcKw_9kmHpFz0fIL8k_Bo/s400/Fraser1+162.jpg" /></a><br />My last visit to Fraser's Hill was about 15 years ago and last week-end I made the climb up the hill just to see and feel the weather again. It was cooling as before alright, and of course many more buildings, especially hotels were added. The Merlin Hotel where I stayed before was changed to a new name but the building still as cute as before. This time around I stayed in a resort since that was the only place available for us.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyqB49qgjlWNskE7Ihav_pk8t9jgVIlgZIk5aKkU9n4iysvu92mLG6ss0B_2hERNjC9vdLg3L5hNtSH2Z2nECZ0a-nTQQ_MQs8RC6CWnonbGcQgT_FPqoxdI3DgDZXJnynjKCknK7IF44/s1600-h/Fraser2+363.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 160px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317487837127893282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyqB49qgjlWNskE7Ihav_pk8t9jgVIlgZIk5aKkU9n4iysvu92mLG6ss0B_2hERNjC9vdLg3L5hNtSH2Z2nECZ0a-nTQQ_MQs8RC6CWnonbGcQgT_FPqoxdI3DgDZXJnynjKCknK7IF44/s200/Fraser2+363.jpg" /></a><br />I took along my two grown up children with me, since during the last visit they were very small then. We spent the two days in Fraser's Hill enjoying the weather and also bird-watching as my new hobby. Never did I realised how entertaining it was just to watch all the beautiful birds that roamed the hill-top. Beautiful as they were, it was indeed time absorbing for us since we also took photograph of the birds in their natural habitat. Their chirpings was also a sweet melody to me and to all those who love nature. I only had to quit just because it was getting dark and our cameras couldnt do the focusing anymore.<br /><br />The next day we went for bird watching too and made a drive to all the places that was accessible by roads. The birds were everywhere and very friendly too. We had to quit early just to beat the rain. Normally the rain will fall in late evening and that was the main reason we have to come down early. Even then it was already 2 pm and the road was open then. The road from the junction of the main road was narrow and therefore traffic flow has to be regulated. Going up the hill was during the odd hours and going down was the even hours.<br /><br />Fraser's Hill is one of the best bird sanctuary in Asia. About 260 species of beautiful birds are found here. The bird shown below is the silver-eared mesia or locally known as 'rimba telinga puteh'. It is one of the prettiest bird found here and unofficially is the mascot of Fraser's Hill. For me, this is one place I must visit again and again.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqsqZrprmGjc296AResavOeNyQp3iusVenX_wNojlIXlr2YgJFnECEeBmvUhBdozoBz2fR3Y8gT60EsELvKwl0P9NiG44nSbD_q5vPNzMBcvIw_5YJtvOQBqcaZCWqQnwaLF8q34g65oo/s1600-h/Fraser2+288.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 160px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317482387412560306" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqsqZrprmGjc296AResavOeNyQp3iusVenX_wNojlIXlr2YgJFnECEeBmvUhBdozoBz2fR3Y8gT60EsELvKwl0P9NiG44nSbD_q5vPNzMBcvIw_5YJtvOQBqcaZCWqQnwaLF8q34g65oo/s200/Fraser2+288.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqIrRgxAO4TZzdA7temUT_DVXj_UkMWJHkOXEOUsnDczS3j7dtCrcC71lNfU29Kjt2eaBPG0J1IgznwKvctyIg_lCMjeFp1AHwf3WfG-uM8FXMWtEjeHyrPSkqkqDQUUreaaFJcIoDFW4/s1600-h/Fraser2+221.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 160px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317481989121604706" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqIrRgxAO4TZzdA7temUT_DVXj_UkMWJHkOXEOUsnDczS3j7dtCrcC71lNfU29Kjt2eaBPG0J1IgznwKvctyIg_lCMjeFp1AHwf3WfG-uM8FXMWtEjeHyrPSkqkqDQUUreaaFJcIoDFW4/s200/Fraser2+221.jpg" /></a>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-88129116586754617032009-03-05T14:28:00.004+08:002009-03-05T15:01:59.976+08:00Fraser's Hill<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGGPqU7KRhLpsaUKRom9IU0x33LmgYGPHwvPAzPlJRz8EbmnsLEu_m6x_zp5UVksFPNRpioHLkQF2yHIFPfwq4W3Irx81F507qQmM4qsdGBO_ruvR1rJbyk06df8UwvKi76ivV1Wm_-UY/s1600-h/P3010004.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGGPqU7KRhLpsaUKRom9IU0x33LmgYGPHwvPAzPlJRz8EbmnsLEu_m6x_zp5UVksFPNRpioHLkQF2yHIFPfwq4W3Irx81F507qQmM4qsdGBO_ruvR1rJbyk06df8UwvKi76ivV1Wm_-UY/s320/P3010004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309589277248147026" /></a><br />This is another beautiful hill resort that I had visited. It was about two hours journey from Kuala Lumpur and located on the main range north of Kuala Lumpur. To reach Fraser's Hill from Kuala Lumpur, you must go north and hit for Kuala Kubu Bahru. From there follow the winding road to Raub, just before reaching the top there is a junction to the left that will take you all the way up to the top of Frasers Hill.<br /><br />My last visit to this place coincided with the 'bird watching expedition' which was held here annually. That goes to say that there are many birds found in this area. Then again with the many participants around, the hotels were fully booked then. Since we had booked earlier, we managed to squeeze into the Merlin Hotel. It was cold up there and the climate was just wonderful for us.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9-VCAIkMzgdW4439oqPuV7nxnYkODpPD55Xcc6frG11oPp8I80VTNWgBAQCXhwmIjoMMeoeIn0PM7jflxi3emQg826uPtl2VFeAuM8tRD3wmJ8Ah8T57ayQUX4b3e8r2F9w-R8m-bTRw/s1600-h/P3010005.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9-VCAIkMzgdW4439oqPuV7nxnYkODpPD55Xcc6frG11oPp8I80VTNWgBAQCXhwmIjoMMeoeIn0PM7jflxi3emQg826uPtl2VFeAuM8tRD3wmJ8Ah8T57ayQUX4b3e8r2F9w-R8m-bTRw/s320/P3010005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309587869574182626" /></a><br /><br />The jungle surrounding the small township of Frasers Hill was so beautiful. I have been to this island several times and needless to say every new visit it became more and more captivating. Naturally, my best visits were the ones with my family because we have all the time we had and enjoyed the holidays together.<br /><br />Langkawi is accessible by air and also by sea. Normally I drove all the way up to Kuala Perlis, parked my car there and took a ferry across to Kuah. It took about an hour by boat, then at Kuah harbour we rent a car and thats it. However, we normally prefered to do sightseeing only and enjoyed ourselves just be together. Since it is an island, the beaches are so beautiful with beautiful sand and very clear water. We used to have picnics by the seaside everytime we visited Langkawi.ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-73249414136549268632009-02-28T09:45:00.006+08:002009-06-08T23:17:40.897+08:00Kota Tinggi Beach<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfijd86kdqj_fO1RkQisCq-Q4A-1HpPo4FS49r5Lb_qdURKZTzYMgm-IkXRgRIOM8-Qbf26jT1uYDzkHh-kZeecTIAk0qyxR9lcQOJ2X4-IchYbsHhe2N0S4ky81IhDgiiQL9w4cS6uLg/s1600-h/Raya'04+039.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfijd86kdqj_fO1RkQisCq-Q4A-1HpPo4FS49r5Lb_qdURKZTzYMgm-IkXRgRIOM8-Qbf26jT1uYDzkHh-kZeecTIAk0qyxR9lcQOJ2X4-IchYbsHhe2N0S4ky81IhDgiiQL9w4cS6uLg/s320/Raya'04+039.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307661858224451986" /></a><br />Kota Tinggi is famous for its beaches, especially around the Cherating area. I was here with my family quite recently. We stayed in this cozy resort just by the sea side in Tanjung Balau. Our two nights stay were some of the few fond memories we had together as a family. The occasion was made more interesting with the presence of my only grandson who was then approaching a year old. He enjoyed the outing as much as we did. <br /><br />The sea was a bit rough then, but we spent the short holidays amongst ourselves with picnics, sightseeing and also singging karaoke in the resort. Cherating is a holiday haven for families and also for tourist who loves the sea side. The sceneries were so enchanting that made us remember the place as part of our most valuable memories.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtumaRj4qCtvT8bXMwojZUEgbWNcQRbqs-TquX7AkUpj4Iz-oLI8qOHHGUhtcPn-l0cAx0c7GYt8fyuUHLxuswQIY-bVFuBQIpxlyN1huCEDjfGKEMNRR0U81HFZvmuOrkQKnGeaQkVMQ/s1600-h/Raya'04+049.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtumaRj4qCtvT8bXMwojZUEgbWNcQRbqs-TquX7AkUpj4Iz-oLI8qOHHGUhtcPn-l0cAx0c7GYt8fyuUHLxuswQIY-bVFuBQIpxlyN1huCEDjfGKEMNRR0U81HFZvmuOrkQKnGeaQkVMQ/s320/Raya'04+049.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307662636051298082" /></a>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-84930625945465017212009-02-28T06:01:00.005+08:002009-03-08T11:17:24.638+08:00French Colmar Tropicale in Bukit Tinggi, Selangor<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj77UpaPH2dw86F1I_TTkQA-qKA93B5OYF4dOF0eqwZMr1w3l3ZzfRYV30SWwgrwl_XlqQ0erMkQIqdBRFP-pIYt71eWH1GLRWRt1u65Qvbu_RYvJraFMhyphenhyphenzUNNwgaLT5t1OPZQq4wQLGc/s1600-h/genting14nov+354.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj77UpaPH2dw86F1I_TTkQA-qKA93B5OYF4dOF0eqwZMr1w3l3ZzfRYV30SWwgrwl_XlqQ0erMkQIqdBRFP-pIYt71eWH1GLRWRt1u65Qvbu_RYvJraFMhyphenhyphenzUNNwgaLT5t1OPZQq4wQLGc/s320/genting14nov+354.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307601775737047490" /></a><br />Bukit Tinggi is just one of the many hill resorts we have in Malaysia. The beauty of this hill resort is that it is just about an hour drive from our capital Kuala Lumpur. Therefore it is very accessible to the city dwellers as well as foreigners who are spending a short stay in Kuala Lumpur or just on transit.<br /><br />Pictured here is the French Colmar Tropicale building in the small township of Bukit Tinggi. The building structures here are quite interesting and beautiful to look at since it is the only one in the country.<br /><br />Close by is the Genting Highland Hill Resort. There are many activities here, besides the gambling part, they also provide a theme park, meant for the family and also a cable car ride. Of course the weather here are very soothing to the skin and quite hazy most of the times.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOtJXA3j8D0kEvZ8oSTih3hHkGdP3DUTYbSQqFmZGupPzxBZ0Cm5H4AqIhWHVnxUPsVqU9HbhbslbzHZ8F9IgxxbN0IddtIYasEXczbmO5tCvQQM-7IdarS-OTSQpoLtdpdunioTgjPWQ/s1600-h/genting14nov+284.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOtJXA3j8D0kEvZ8oSTih3hHkGdP3DUTYbSQqFmZGupPzxBZ0Cm5H4AqIhWHVnxUPsVqU9HbhbslbzHZ8F9IgxxbN0IddtIYasEXczbmO5tCvQQM-7IdarS-OTSQpoLtdpdunioTgjPWQ/s320/genting14nov+284.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307604734095491202" /></a>ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2048388678682117205.post-88777707063516891162009-02-28T05:15:00.002+08:002009-05-24T14:24:02.172+08:00Cool waters<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5c11u0HE-Klx-eKddB9AtXNLJN7DmKBc_wBqbSwFPIuW207H8-MZk525PplnbWbjZaoUQMSU2NWnkXcSxgzEoPETrQLWGuhnQj1bRL_vMCeuviwF7y6oKuz96HSEnciqLU1vE3dKs7Ww/s1600-h/Lunch+143.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307591503733309442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5c11u0HE-Klx-eKddB9AtXNLJN7DmKBc_wBqbSwFPIuW207H8-MZk525PplnbWbjZaoUQMSU2NWnkXcSxgzEoPETrQLWGuhnQj1bRL_vMCeuviwF7y6oKuz96HSEnciqLU1vE3dKs7Ww/s320/Lunch+143.jpg" /></a><br />Came across this river while doing jungle trekking in the jungle of Mersing in Johore. The water was very cool and refreshing, especially at this upper reaches. Further downstream, the Fisheries Department was breeding our special 'kelah' fish. There were four species of kelah being successfully bred here. These fresh water fish were very well protected now since it is becoming very rare and close to extinction. It is a priced commodity since the fish is considered to be the best delicacies in the country. We have the 'empurau fish' in Sarawak which is cousin to this kelah.ANUAR ZAINhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01151734429370365962noreply@blogger.com0
